The Allentown Film Festival returns April 10-13, 2025, building on its growing success. The festival will feature returning favorite programming blocks including "Behaving Badly" and "Gory Horror," alongside the highly-anticipated and always popular Local Short Film Contest that spotlights regional talent.
The 2024 Allentown Film Festival was a resounding success, with a 171-film lineup spread across 24 screening blocks. Among the highlights were several World Premieres, including Carson Kressley: Born in Allentown, a new Spanish screening block, and The Augie Challenge, a collection of short films crafted by the Augie generative AI software from interviews prominent Allentonians. The annual Allentown Film Festival takes place each year in April at the Civic Theatre of Allentown's two historic venues, the Allentown Art Museum, and Miller Symphony Hall.

Founded by award-winning filmmakers and educators, the Allentown Film Festival is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that brings the Independent Film Festival experience to Eastern Pennsylvania. Each screening block includes films of various lengths followed by a Q&A panel discussion with filmmakers.
